‘Refugee Week 2021: Every Action Counts’ is a project organized by the Model United Nations of the Russian Far East aimed at the creation of an educational and cultural platform to bring a better understanding on the issue of refugees.

You will get an opportunity to:
> Expand your knowledge about refugees, which you can use in your scientific papers and at various conferences;
> Take part in various activities including a photo exhibition, movie marathon, and lectures from our invited experts;
> Make new friends.

All those events will make you understand the refugee issue from the other side, and maybe, this event will open up a new page of your life story!
About Refugee Week
Model United Nations of the Russian Far East (MUNRFE) is the youth-led organization, devoted to facilitating the development of leadership skills and competencies in the field of youth diplomacy among the young generation of the Russian Far East.

Founded on 1 October 2000, today MUNRFE has branches in the cities of Blagoveshchensk and Vladivostok, bringing together about 100 young people and more than 2000 alumni all over the world, as well as keeps a wide partnership network includes universities, UN and UN Family organizations, regional and international NGOs.

Essay Contest on the theme ‘Challenges and opportunities for refugees in the COVID-19 era’

Yuth-led organization Model UN of the Russian Far East announces the start of the Essay Contest.

Theme: ‘Challenges and opportunities for refugees in the COVID-19 era’

The Contest is aimed at expanding students' and schoolchildren's knowledge on the challenges refugees face nowadays and raising their interest in further study of the topic.

Essay are evaluated according to the following criteria:

· correspondence of the work to the topic of the Contest;
· original ideas;
· compliance with the format;
· style and language.

Applications and essays have to be submitted by June 1, 2021 (23:59, GMT+10) to with the subject "[Essay Contest]: name and surname", e.g. "[Essay Contest]: Ivan Ivanov".
